If you come into the hub to use the Community grocery store or cafe or even just to sit and chat you will see Lisa, she's our community engagement officer and you'll always hear her giving advice on how to use what's in the shop... recipes, meal ideas, low budget cooking and kitchen hints and tips as she loves to cook but Lisa always loves a Bargin! So we asked her to share some simple ideas on how to use the current vegetable offers with no fancy equipment... She got 3 bags of potatoes, 4 carrots, 2 parsnips, 2 swede, 2 bags of brown onions, 10 garlic and 4 white cabbages which cost an incredible £1. 60! Below you'll see how she's storing and preserving them in each photo comment. Remember it's only a Bargin if you are going to use them PLEASE DON'T WASTE FOOD. ... See MoreSee Less
